MORNING SERVICE SUNDAY EDITION!!! LJ 2015

I've been sick this week.
So blessed to be prayed for at church today by several compassionate people!

morning service: sunday edition!

Morning Worshp:

This is amazing grace- Phil Wickham

The blood of Jesus washes me!

Great are you Lord- All sons and daughters

BIG IDEA 💡
You have everything you need to change your world!

 Mark 2:1-10 NIV
1 A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home.
2 So many gathered that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them.
3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralytic, carried by four of them.
4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven."
6 Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves,
7 "Why does this fellow talk like that? He's blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
8 Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, "Why are you thinking these things?
9 Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, take your mat and walk'?
10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins-" ...

Points to ponder:

1# My: FAITH is revealed through: ACTION

2# My: FAITH can facilitate: MIRACLES
Our faith can make a difference for others

3# No: THEOLOGY required

4# The RISK has an awesome REWARD

5# God is already WORKING
"I only do what I see my father doing"

Jesus on mission: Reaching out to Social Outcasts.

Zacchaeus was rich, and probably not happy.
Nothing was going to stop him from seeing Jesus.

Luke 19:1-10 NIV

1 Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.
2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.
3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd.
4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.
5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today."
6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be the guest of a 'sinner.' "
8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount."
9 Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.
10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."

1#Jesus was never too busy to stop for people. He was willing to interrupt his plans to care for other's needs.

2#Jesus didn't look at people the way others did.

                                                                             Closing song:

                                                               Amazing grace- Darlene Zschech

Daniel chapter 4 NIV- The Wild Animal King

Daniel chapter 4 NIV

Daniel Interprets the Dream

19 Then Daniel (also called Belteshazzar) was greatly perplexed for a time, and his thoughts terrified him. So the king said, “Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning alarm you.”
Belteshazzar answered, “My lord, if only the dream applied to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries! 20 The tree you saw, which grew large and strong, with its top touching the sky, visible to the whole earth, 21 with beautiful leaves and abundant fruit, providing food for all, giving shelter to the wild animals, and having nesting places in its branches for the birds— 22 Your Majesty, you are that tree! You have become great and strong; your greatness has grown until it reaches the sky, and your dominion extends to distant parts of the earth.
23 “Your Majesty saw a holy one, a messenger, coming down from heaven and saying, ‘Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave the stump, bound with iron and bronze, in the grass of the field, while its roots remain in the ground. Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven; let him live with the wild animals, until seven times pass by for him.’
24 “This is the interpretation, Your Majesty, and this is the decree the Most High has issued against my lord the king: 25 You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox and be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes. 26 The command to leave the stump of the tree with its roots means that your kingdom will be restored to you when you acknowledge that Heaven rules. 27 Therefore, Your Majesty, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue.”

The Dream Is Fulfilled

28 All this happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. 29 Twelve months later, as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, 30 he said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?”
31 Even as the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven, “This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. 32 You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes.”
33 Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird.
34 At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever.
His dominion is an eternal dominion;
his kingdom endures from generation to generation.
35 All the peoples of the earth
    are regarded as nothing.
He does as he pleases
    with the powers of heaven
and the peoples of the earth.
No one can hold back his hand
or say to him: “What have you done?”
36 At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became even greater than before. 37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

SUNDAY EDITION!!!

SUNDAY EDITION

My Saviour's Love

God,I Look to You

                                BIG IDEA 💡

Life transformation begins with encounters with God, shaped by relationships, established through spiritual disciplines, energized through serving and reproduced through authenticity.

                                 Moving Toward Wholeness:

Philippines 1:6
6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippines 2:12-13
12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

"End of construction, thanks for your patience"
(Billy Gram's Wife, Ruth, wanted this on her tomb stone)

The Process of Growing in God:

1# God: MOMENTS

                     Encounters with the Living God!

Colossians 2:2-3
2 My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,
3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

2# FAITHFULL : friends

2 Corinthians 6:14-18
14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."
17 "Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."
18 "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

Friends who are faithful or full of faith!
                          It causes you to GROW!

Winnie the pooh: Eeyore

Don't be the moping and disheartening friend-

BE a friend who is Full of faith!

3# SPIRITUAL :disciplines

Hebrews 4:9-12
9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;
10 for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.
11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.
12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

                 Worship with Gladness
                 Listen as you Pray
                 Intercede for Others
                 Study the Word of God
                 Meditate and memorize God's word
Set aside time to rest and be still

4# Meaningful: SERVICE

Romans 12:3-8
3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
4 Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
5 so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to hisfaith.
7 If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach;
8 if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

                     Called to Serve like Jesus!
                  (Jesus washed the disciples feet).
The Christian life is like a sponge; Once a sponge is full,

you have to wring it out to be filled again!

5# LIFE CHANGING: events

2 Corinthians 4:7-10
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

How do you respond to them?
                      Hardships, trials, and stress?

The birth of a child is BIG change.

So are...
Graduations
Weddings
Divorce
Deaths

SUNDAY EDITION! -THREE THINGS by Lydia J.

***SUNDAY EDITION***

I brought a dozen Rice Krispy Treats for the Hospitality table
this morning and they were gone before service began!
I quickly replaced the empty plates with cheap frosted oatmeal cookies,
and the package was gone by the end of church.
Saw a kid stuffing his pockets. Lol. Feeling blessed

-Lydia J.
I greeted a man this morning who had just commented to his wife,
 "I hate meeting new people."
Having been the "New girl" too many times, I can totally sympathize!
Going to a church where everyone seems to know the next fellow can be intimadating.
  Don't worry about forgetting names
or be afraid to say hello to new faces: GO FOR IT!!

MORNING WORSHIP:

EVERLASTING GOD- Jeremy Camp

COME THOU FOUNT- David Crowder Band

BIG IDEA 💡
God's strategy to change the world is you.

God wants to say three things to you:

1# GET UP!

John 5:2-14 NIV

2 Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. 3 Here a great number of disabled people used to lie--the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. 4 a (
From time to time an angel of the Lord would come down and stir up the waters. The first one into the pool after each such disturbance would be cured of whatever disease they had. -Some manuscripts include here, wholly or in part, paralyzed— and they waited for the moving of the waters-).

5 One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?" 7 "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."
8 Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." 9 At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,
10 and so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, "It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat." 11 But he replied, "The man who made me well said to me, 'Pick up your mat and walk.' " 12 So they asked him, "Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?" 13 The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there. 14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."

Jesus shows Compassion! He Went to the needy.

Legalism kills compassion (the Pharisees).

At His Word...

Jesus is:
Great in power,
Deep in knowledge,
Moved with compassion.

2# Pick up your Bed/ Mat!

Sometimes we get comfortable with our disease/issues;

Embrace Jesus and his healing power in your life!

3# Go get a Rope!

Mark 2:1-12 NIV

Who can forgive sins but God alone?" 8 Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, "Why are you thinking these things? 9 Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, take your mat and walk'? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins . . . ." He said to the paralytic, 11 "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home." 12 He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone
and they praised God, saying, "We have never seen anything like this!"

Your place of : Brokenness
becomes your greatest : Strength

We are called to bring people to the water or through the roof... when they are ready.

Jesus FORGAVE before seeing to their PHYSICAL NEEDS.

HERE is what we believe-
God wants to make you: WHOLE
and make you: RADICAL

JEREMIAH 9:24 NIV BG 15

Jeremiah 9:24  New International Version (NIV)

24 but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
    justice and righteousness on earth,
    for in these I delight,”

So why did the chicken cross the road?
                                       by GARY STORTS

SARAH PALIN: The chicken crossed the road because, gosh-darn it, he's a maverick!

BARACK OBAMA: Let me be perfectly clear, if the chickens like their eggs they can keep their eggs. No chicken will be required to cross the road to surrender her eggs. Period.

JOHN McCAIN: My friends, the chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.

HILLARY CLINTON: What difference at this point does it make why the chicken crossed the road?

GEORGE W. BUSH: We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road or not. The chicken is either with us or against us. There is no middle ground here.

DICK CHENEY: Where's my gun?

BILL CLINTON: I did not cross the road with that chicken.

AL GORE: I invented the chicken.

JOHN KERRY: Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chicken's intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.

AL SHARPTON: Why are all the chickens white?

DR. PHIL: The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he must first deal with the problem on this side of the road before it goes after the problem on the other side of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he is acting by not taking on his current problems before adding any new problems.

OPRAH: Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why he wants to cross the road so badly. So instead of having the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, I'm going to give this chicken a NEW CAR so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.

ANDERSON COOPER: We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.

NANCY GRACE: That chicken crossed the road because he's guilty! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.

PAT BUCHANAN: To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.

MARTHA STEWART: No one called me to warn me which way the chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmer's Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information.

DR SEUSS: Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed I've not been told.

ERNEST HEMINGWAY: To die in the rain, alone.

GRANDPA: In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough for us.

BARBARA WALTERS: Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time, the heartwarming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish its lifelong dream of crossing the road.

ARISTOTLE: It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.

BILL GATES: I have just released eChicken2014, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents and balance your checkbook. Internet Explorer is an integral part of eChicken2014. This new platform is much more stable and will never reboot.

ALBERT EINSTEIN: Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?

COLONEL SANDERS: Did I miss one?

Facts about Hell and Satan from REVELATION by Lydia J.

SATAN
FALLEN ANGEL
ANCIENT SERPANT- THE DEVIL

FACTS from the whole BIBLE,
and specifically the LAST book: REVELATION

A friend of mine on FB asked:

"if you go to hell for being bad, why do you suffer?
Wouldn't Satan reward you?"

My responce was: Read Revelation. Satan is on the punishment list too.

But it's more complicated than that!

I'm blogging today because I would like to answer this question
in full color and with great humility by the grace of God, my Lord.

Let's start out with:

Here are 2 out of 13 from Bible Gateway
(Technically 15, but 2 half-word results were not related).

Luke chapter 12 NIV

What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.
But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him.
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell,[a] putting them in chains of darkness[b] to be held for judgment;

There are 47 SCRIPTURE RESULTS and 31 from the TOPICAL INDEX

Here are some Highlights:

1# Satan, the Afflicter:

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”

“Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has for his own life. But now stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
The Lord said to Satan,
“Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”
or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.

On a side Note, read
for the full conclusion of Job's story!

CHAPTER 42 NIV

1 Then Job replied to the Lord:
“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.

3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.

After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite,
“I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not
spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has."

10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes
and gave him twice as much as he had before.

2# Satan, the Accuser: Zechariah 3 NIV

1Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and

Satan[a] standing at his right side to accuse him.

3# Satan, the Tempter:

Matthew 4 NIV

1Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil.

Ephesians 6 NIV

11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

4# Satan, the Deceiver:

 Matthew 16 NIV

23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

 2 Corinthians 11 NIV

14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.

5# Satan, the Thief:

Mark 4 NIV

15 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown.
As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

John 10 NIV

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

6# Satan, the fallen Angel: Isaiah 14 NIV

12 How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

13 You said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens;

I will raise my throne above the stars of God;

I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.[b]

14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”

7# Satan, Less powerful than Jesus, God's Son:

Luke 10 NIV

17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
24 Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets, ‘I will not impose any other burden on you,
25 except to hold on to what you have until I come.’ 26 To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations—  27 that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’[a]—just as I have received authority from my Father.

Revelation 12 NIV

The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Revelation 20 NIV

10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into
the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast
and the false prophet had been thrown.
They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it.
The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne,
and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life.
The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it,
and death and Hades gave up
the dead that were in them, and each person was
judged according to what they had done.
14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.
The lake of fire is the second death.
15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was
thrown into the lake of fire.

The Great

High Priest

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[f] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
